About Us

Operating Theatres and Procedure room.

Our Visiting Specialist and qualified nursing staff  provide optimal care and best possible outcomes for patients having surgery.  Our integrated theatre systems bring together control of the operating room and communications into one centralized system. This custom-designed, integrated operating room improves efficiency in the theatre and enhances information for healthcare professionals for better continuity of care for patients.

Once you leave our highly technical operating theatres, our nursing staff then care for you until discharge. Whether you recover in our Day Surgery unit or need to stay with us in our ward, you will receive the highest level of nursing care.

Surgical Ward

We have 8 in-patient beds, consisting of single and double rooms with private ensuite for our patients who require more than just day surgery. The ward provides patients with high standard care through all stages of their hospital stay. We pride ourselves on our nursing ratio in our ward as we believe this is a critical component in ensuring that patients recover as quickly as possible. Our nursing staff provide this high standard of care through patient participation in their care, patient assessment, observation and responding to patients needs promptly. Our nursing staff follow clinical pathways which are in line with best practice principles and guidelines, optimising positive patient outcomes. We provide a range of meals, accommodating for special dietary requirements during your stay.

If you require physiotherapy while you stay with us, this is provided on a daily basis by our qualified physiotherapist.

Pre-admission Clinic

A comprehensive pre-admission clinic with our registered nurses prepares patients for their major surgery, through patient care planning, identifying patient expectations and preparing patients for their discharge.

Sterilizing Department

Our modern Sterilization Department includes the latest technology in the tracking of surgical instruments through the use of tiny barcodes etched onto the surgical instruments. This automated tracking system of surgical instruments and equipment improves infection control monitoring and provides meaningful data for providing continuous improvement and improved clinical outcomes.

X-ray facility

We have on-site x-ray facilities provided through local radiology provider ' Fraser Coast Radiology'. This service is planned and booked in advance by your Specialist rooms before surgery. Patients are responsible for all x-ray costs; they will be invoiced directly by the radiology provider.

Pathology Services

We have a range of pathology providers who come to our facility as per your Specialists preference. Our Medical software allows the pathology providers to download your pathology results directly onto your electronic medical file, this allows your Specialist and nursing staff to be aware of results in a timely manner.  Patients are responsible for all pathology costs; they will be invoiced directly by the pathology provider.
